From Sydney to London to Poland

She lived in Australia, he lived in the UK. They met in Sydney, and then Stephen brought Dominika to London. For the wedding they chose Poland – getting ready at Hotel Stary in Kraków, and the ceremony and reception at Villa Love near Kraków.

One line from the ceremony sums up their story: “Steve caused Dominika to move from sunny Australia to London. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.”

Across the Universe – the vows

In her vows Dominika went back to when she was 14: she listened to “Across the Universe” and imagined it playing on her wedding day. She walked down the aisle to that very song.

Stephen said he felt lucky to be standing in front of her – that she is his best friend and the person he feels most at peace with.

Minimal decor at Villa Love

The couple went for minimalism: single flowers on the tables and a floral altar. The Villa Love hall with white drapery and long tables suits that simplicity, and in the evening the cake among sparkler fountains closed the day with a bang.

At Villa Love I also filmed Síle and Lucas’s Irish-Polish wedding and Julia and Dawid’s Polish-German wedding.
