Church wedding before the Veit Stoss altarpiece in St. Mary’s Basilica

Church wedding at St. Mary’s Basilica

Two ceremonies in one day – and one of them on the stage of a real theatre. Olga and Danny flew from the United States to Kraków to honour both of their traditions: Catholic and Jewish.

The day began with a church wedding before the Veit Stoss altarpiece in St. Mary’s Basilica on the Main Market Square. The couple got ready at H15 Luxury Palace.

Then we moved to the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, where the Jewish ceremony took place on stage. Danny’s parents thanked him for bringing Olga into the family – “our third daughter”. They wished the couple that with love every burden is cut in half and every joy is doubled.

In her vows Olga called Danny her soulmate and life companion. Danny answered that he loves her exactly as she is – and that this will always be enough to make him feel like the luckiest man on earth.

The reception was held at Pałac pod Baranami on the Main Market Square, styled by Petite Fleur in a vintage, baroque mood. Three locations in the heart of Kraków and two very different ceremonies – we worked with three videographers so that no moment was missed.

FAQ

Is a theatre wedding possible in Kraków?

Yes. Olga and Danny married at St Mary’s Basilica, and their Jewish ceremony took place on the stage of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre. A theatre wedding means a gilded foyer, a stage and an auditorium full of guests. The reception moved to Pałac pod Baranami, where I also filmed Ismena & Tomasz’s wedding with their dogs.

What did the Jewish ceremony at the theatre include?

Olga and Danny flew in from Atlanta for a summer wedding. Their Jewish ceremony on the theatre stage included all the traditional elements: the chuppah, the breaking of the glass and the hora, when guests lift the couple on chairs. A theatre wedding combines tradition with a stage set no ordinary venue can match.

How much does a wedding film cost?

Wedding films in Poland start from 10,000 PLN, and destination weddings abroad from €2,500 including travel and accommodation. See all packages on the Offer page.

When will we receive our film?

Usually 3–4 months after the wedding. In that time I edit a short highlight film and a longer film of the whole day, built around your story.

Do you work with international couples?

Yes – most of my couples are international or mixed, and I work fully in English, from the first call to the final film. I have been filming weddings since 2012 and have worked with more than 250 couples, including couples from London, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. More about me.
